Understand your opening moves

Search the library by opening name or ECO code, or choose guided openings to study an explained line. You can filter guided openings by side to focus on a White repertoire or a Black reply.

Explore the moves on the board, learn the plan and practise the sequence as either side. Rather than memorising a line alone, ask which pieces need developing, how the king will become safe and what your opponent is threatening. Related puzzles help connect opening study with decisions in real positions.
